RSP Automotive & Industrial began life as Rare Spares in 1974, supplying new and refurbished parts for older Holdens. The business expanded rapidly and soon outgrew its original premises in the Melbourne suburb of Reservoir.


Moving to Brunswick; expanding into the Ford product range and establishing an Australia wide distributor network brought the company into further prominence and in 1990 a modern and spacious warehouse and Head Office were built at Campbellfield on the northern outskirts of Melbourne.


The company has continued to expand its business activities into the areas of industrial rubber and automotive OEM supply; gaining QS9000 Quality Accreditation in 1997. In 1998 the company established its own Metal Pressing Facility and in 1999, in recognition of the changing nature of the business, became RSP Automotive & Industrial Pty. Ltd.
