RSP Automotive & Industrial Metal Pressing Facility

Open and comparatively spacious the RSP Automotive & Industrial Press Facility has 5000 sq.ft. of under cover area. This will allow for expansion into the future.

The presses were totally refurbished prior to installation and are ideally suited to the business of short run, relatively low volume press work with minimal tool change time. Additional presses have since been installed.

A recent addition to the equipment has been this Laser cutting machine. This will enable blanks to be perfectly cut prior to pressing, thereby removing the need to have a trim operation done after the pressing. By reducing the amount of scrap metal it keeps the costs down and shows our dedication to participation in environmental and savings programs.

The RSP Automotive & Industrial Metal Pressing Facility was commissioned in 1998. For many years RSP Automotive & Industrial had purchased automotive rust repair panels from a New South Wales company. By 1998 this company was preparing to close down due to the retirement of it’s owner. This situation had the potential to seriously compromise the supply of one of RSP Automotive & Industrial’s most popular product ranges.

While the Press Facility is predominantly aligned to the manufacture of automotive panels, sold under the Rare Spares label, the company business and marketing plans call for an increasing diversity in the items produced and the customers serviced by this factory. Located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, very near to RSP Automotive & Industrial's Head Office, the Press Facility has a very bright future indeed.

Representing the major product line, at present, of the Metal Press Facility; rust repair panels are an indispensable tool to the auto body repair industry.
